Today I went for a walk down Oxford Street to set with a goal of a specific purchase. I did not find this item, but ended up buying myself a few awesome looking scarves. It was really cool walking down here, the main shopping district, because it is all decorated for Christmas. Lights are filling the streets and in between buildings, but the window displays are what is the coolest part of all. The windows are filled with animated characters, and extravagant displays. I’ve put on a few videos and pictures to show how cool it really is.
Our International Studies class went to the Ragged School Museum today. It was pretty cool seeing an old classroom setting from the late 1800’s. We explored the east side of London, which is the poorer district, as we learned quite a bit about with the hardships in the docklands. It was rather funny really, because just on the other side of the canal, which you can see clearly from where we stood, you can see the big industrial buildings on the rich part of town… from the old worn buildings… An interesting juxtaposition, I thought.
Came back, relaxed, dinner, meeting, bed.
