Wednesday, October 15th

Went to history this morning, and the second part of the class was devoted to walking around town. One of the sites we passed was a girls school that has been around for quite some time. We stopped at several other places along the way, and our final stop was St. George’s Church. We walked in to an organ player rehearsing and it was awesome. I absolutely love the atmosphere of the organ sounding through these incredible churches and cathedrals… can you tell? I sat in the church, soaking in its beauty and the greatness of the organ (both in sound and appearance) and then talked to my professor a bit about my research paper topic. Yea, casual conversation, in a church, with organ accompaniment in the background- just another boring day in London… I plan on writing about British composers and their effect on the universality of music, and he was very excited about this as he is a musician himself- a pianist. He gets so excited about things and gives you a big hug, and his enthusiasm makes my day. : )

Cody and I decided we would be going back to this church, or at least get over to St. Brides this weekend to go to a Eucharistic mass. I wouldn’t mind going back to St. Paul’s either for both mass and the matins again. That was awesome!

After lunch, I came back to my room and worked a bit on that paper, and talked online a bit with Chris Femal regarding his visit to London, and the fact that we are probably going to IRELAND together at the beginning of December!!! How awesome is this! Chris is one of my best friends from back home, and he is studying in France right now. I’m so happy that everything is just working out so perfectly now! I’ve run into lots of complications the past few days, but now, everything is falling into place, and way better than I planned or could have imagined!

I spent the evening taking a relaxing shower, researching events online, and getting work done while listening to some super relaxing music. It was wonderful. :)
